Mayor Katniss has informed me of a new villager cycling blog they’ve set up over here.
You can submit a reservation request and follow the blog to see if/when your dreamie is cycled into town. Good luck!
(If you know a better way, send me an ask!)
Getting an ACNL photo onto Miiverse:
Getting an ACNL photo from Miiverse to Tumblr:
P.S. You can ‘share’ Miiverse posts directly via the tumblr icon below any Miiverse post, but this just creates a link post to that Miiverse entry. :(
Advantages of uploading via Miiverse:
In-game screenshot vs. Miiverse shot.
Yay! Now my scenery pics will be pretty!
They’re the same?
Notice how the top picture includes compression artifacts around the snow and trees. Not to mention the increased contrast in the sky in the Miiverse pic. Also look at the berries on the bushes and how deformed and discolored they are in pic 1.
Advertise your Snowman’s daily digits & tag your post with #acnl bingo
If you build a Snowman/Snowpapa he’ll give you a bingo card to use (learn how to make one). Talk to him each day until he melts to see if the number on his eyes matches a number on your card. Get five matches in a row on your card and get an item from the Ski Series!
Visit Snowmen in other towns to check off more numbers on your card! Follow the #acnl bingo tag to see who has the numbers you need.
P.S. You can also use this tag to seek out Snowmams as well! Trade in snowflakes to Snowmam for items from the Ice Series. A perfect Snowmam offers a better exchange rate.
Tips for posts:
I got an ask from a user requesting a tag for players who are looking to visit other towns in hopes of filling out a Snowman’s bingo card. (The tag could also be used to find Snowmamas to exchange snowflakes with.)
Do you guys have any suggestions on what the tag should be?
Want to exchange letters with people without spending extra money on actual letters and stationary? Then submit an ad to Animal Crossing Pen Pals!
Don’t own of the copy of the game? Don’t worry about it! We’ll even have people interested in snail mail as well.
The reason I made this blog is to bring people in this community closer together. It’d be nice to send things to each other and make even more friends.
I am kinda tired to see unsourced fanart (especially when sometimes in tags you can see the SAME FANART properly sourced but people keep reblogging the unsourced one) so here a little tutorial about how to share and source properly a fanart. Don’t forget that someone has drawn those fanarts, they put their time and their talent into it, they’re great enough for you to share them, so source them.
First of all, and that’s something that most of people seems to not see, there is a SHARING OPTION on Pixiv.
Good. As you can see, you can use it to share the work of the artist and so source it properly, and you actually have the consentment of the artist to post it ! IT’S GREAT ISN’T IT !
Good then, but how do you if the artist had the share disabled ? Well like this, look
If the artist doesn’t want to see his art shared, you’ll see that. Then, EVEN if the art is really good and you want to share it DON’T DO IT. Please just don’t do it, for the artist. Same if a fanart has been removed don’t post it. There is a reason if that happened. There is a reason if they don’t want to see their art shared.
Now for people who has some fanart saved from ages ago and want to post it, here an easy solution for your sourcing problem ! It’s the extension IMAGE SERCH OPTION ! You can donwload it for Google Chrome and Firefox. (Sorry I don’t have the link for Firefox, if someone has it just edit the post please)
It’s fucking magic trust me, with just a right click on your image you’ll find the source, that’s wonderful.
So let me explain how it works. Let’s use the one I used on the sharing pic.
First you upload the fanart in your draft and save it in your draft. After that all you have to do is a right click on the picture and
As you can see there is the image search option, just hover it and then click on one of the website you want to use
(I usually use SauceNao search so let’s use this one for this tutorial)
If you click then you’ll see that
Then just click on the Pixiv ID and you’ll be redirected on the fanart page immediatly, and you’ll be able to source your fanart properly.
Not that hard you see ! It only takes 5 little minutes of your life, even less maybe. It’ll make everyone happy (the artist but also people on tumblr because they can see where the fanart come from).
That’s it, that’s all you need to know about how to share and source Pixiv fanarts. Have a nice day and thank you for reading all that, and sorry for my bad english, it’s not my first language.
I wasn’t aware of the share option! I’ll now go check all the pieces I’ve posted to make sure they have that. :D Thanks!
